This unique little building stood on
the end of Railroad Wharf, with the
bay windows facing the schooner
dock and the WW&F tracks coming in
from behind. There has been much
discussion of its purpose, with no
clear resolution. So we simply call it
the Wharf Master Station, envisioning
its primary purpose was for
"someone" to ensure how much
cargo had been loaded or unloaded
from the schooners.
